About you and the role:

 

Providing business partnering to assigned business and regional management teams on all people issues enabling them to deliver company strategy. Working closely with the Head of HR and the Centres of Expertise provide strategic direction and insight on all people issues. Owning Human Resources functional responsibility. 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Work in partnership with the Regional HHR and functional stakeholders to develop the people strategy for Enstar, with specific focus on Enstar in Belgium, Lichtenstein and Australia, ensuring that it is aligned to the broader people plan and business strategy.
  • Work with HR colleagues and Group Change Director, Business Change team and business stakeholders to support delivery of the HR component of projects as we look to reorganise/increase the footprint of our EU Businesses
  • Support leadership with planning and implementing a forward looking Target Operating Model matching local requirement and local business requirements
  • Support ongoing Belgium leadership transition, support new senior team and help them execute the people change plan.
  • Lead the HR follow up post the Belgium Deloitte Payroll and Benefits review & embed our new Business Traveller project requirements – ensuring we establish stronger HR practices in Belgium, with effective governance from Group HR.
  • Support HR colleagues and respective Department Heads in delivering the people component of this project, including planning, consultation, org design, communications, implementation of action plans and employee engagement and review of necessary agreements and process.
  • Partner with External Legal Counsel to manage ER risks
  • Support the production of project updates and communications to keep key stakeholders briefed on the key options, decisions and actions as we progress through the project.
  • Support will be required for handling ER related matters and core HR Business Partner activities as directed by the UK HRBP.
  • Liaise with subject matter experts, within the Centres of Expertise, (e.g. Reward, ER, Talent, Data Analytics) to provide consultancy and advice within the business.
  • Execute and oversee operational HR activities as required: on boarding, exiting, restructuring, ER issues etc.
  • Build close working relationships with key functional stakeholders and other line managers, and establish excellent working knowledge of the Enstar (EU and Internationally) business.
  • Use MI and agree data analytics to monitor key performance indicators, identify trends and implications for the business and propose and support the implementation of appropriate interventions in consultation with the Centres of Expertise

 

What you will bring:

  • 7-10 years in similar role – Essential
  • Deep level of experience with handling HR matters for Belgium is required.
  • Experience of either working in Belgium/travelling into Belgium to deliver HR Business partnering support
  • Fluency in French or Flemish would be desirable.
  • Talent and succession planning – Essential Senior leadership partnering – Essential
  • Working within a matrixed model, fast pace, agile and result drive culture – Essential
  • Data analytics – production and interpretation – Desirable
  • Communication skills – be able to build rapport and present effectively to a different levels of seniority
  • General skills – a good understanding of the many different responsibilities of the function (e.g. Talent, reward, compensation & benefits, recruitment)
  • Leadership – Lead in the day-to-day operations of the business, and also on specific projects
  • Coaching skills – be comfortable in offering advice to your seniors, peers and junior employees
  • Strategic thinker – working closely with the HHR to deliver and implement new programmes and initiatives, experience of thinking strategically is an absolute must
  • Industry knowledge –An extensive knowledge of the trends and changes in policy that are affecting people at work
