About You and the Role:

Enstar Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Enstar Group Limited, is seeking an Investment Accountant. The Investment Accountant is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate recording and reporting of the UK / US regions investment Accounting. What you will be doing:     

Key Responsibilities: The candidate will primarily be responsible for:

  • Preparation and review of US GAAP investment bookings for the group’s fixed income, equity, and alternatives.
  • Assisting in managing the group’s AFS portfolio and preparing the credit impairment analysis.
  • Assisting in preparing the group’s regulatory filings.
  • Assisting in preparing the investment disclosures for the quarterly and year-end financial statements for the Company in accordance with US GAAP, SEC, and BMA requirements.
  • Internal management and board reporting for investments.
  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley requirements in relation to investments.
  • Communicating with insurance subsidiaries, custodial banks, insurance regulators, internal and external auditors, and other service providers.
  • Assisting on ad-hoc investment projects as required. 

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA, or ACA) with 3 years post qualifications experience.
  • Experience in reinsurance accounting preferred. • Knowledge of SEC, CECL, and Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements.
  • Current knowledge and strong practical experience of US GAAP relating to investments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and team skills.
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to problem-solve and multi-task.
